In June of 1971, just days before his 26-year-old son, Michael, got married, future-U.S. President Ronald Reagan sent him the following letter of advice. It really is quite stunning.

In 1952, Ronald Reagan and Nancy Davis married. In 1972, prior to their 20th anniversary, Reagan — then Governor of California — wrote the following letter to his wife.
Extra Special
One of the inherent needs of a girl/lady/woman is to feel special. Many seek satisfaction for the need through romantic relationships. Those with strong personalities find this in their careers. Some just intentionally pretend to be who they are not just to be noticed and told that they are different which makes them feel special.
I,on the other hand, takes pleasure on simple expressions of care. I easily get hyped when my friends tell me they miss me and they love me. I know that probably some of them do not really mean what they say but when they say it, it means something to me. A friend of mine made a painting and a sketch of me twice already. Not everybody gets a painting or a sketch of themselves so I really was elated when the person did it.

It is marvelous how God sends people in our life who will see us in a different light. The illustrations made me realise how God is the true love and the true beauty. My friends are manifestations of His love for me so I am so grateful for it.
